What documents do I need to provide when buying a car?

Just a few essentials to make everything official — we’ll guide you through it.

We like to keep things simple — but there are a few key documents we’ll need from you to finalise your purchase and get your car ready to go.

Here’s what you’ll need:

✅ For all buyers:

  • A valid driver’s licence (Australian full licence or equivalent)

  • Proof of address (e.g. licence, utility bill, or lease agreement — if different from your ID)

  • Payment confirmation (or pre-approval paperwork if you’re financing externally)

🛠️ If you’re financing through CarPlace:

  • Proof of comprehensive insurance
Your car must be insured before we hand it over — we’ll guide you through this if you’re unsure.

🔁 If you’re trading in a vehicle:

  • Spare key(s)

  • Logbook/service history (if available)

  • Vehicle registration papers or transfer forms
(If there’s still finance owing on your trade-in, let us know — we can help settle that too.)

We’ll walk you through all of this when you place your order or pay a deposit. You’ll also get a checklist from your CarPlace partner to make sure nothing’s missed before handover.

Not sure if you’ve got everything? Just ask — we’re always here to help.
